To provide each child with an outstanding introduction to their education
To create an exciting, creative, and stimulating atmosphere for your children
To nurture your children with our qualified, caring, and highly experienced teachers
At Tomorrow’s Leaders, we believe the first 5 years of a child’s life lay the foundations for their future. We aim to give your child the greatest opportunity for them to fulfil their full potential. learning while in a comfortable, safe and healthy environment. We provide a range of opportunities to motivate, support and develop children, to help them to be involved, enjoy their experiences and learn effectively. The contributions from all children and parents are valued, all racial, religious; disability and gender stereotypes are challenged.
At Tomorrow’s Leaders we focus on providing high quality education within a safe environment where children are encouraged and nurtured. We wish to develop children to become resilient, risk takers, and persevere in all areas within our curriculum.
Our curriculum extends from the Early Years Foundation Stage framework and has an emphasis on mathematics that encourages pupils to have depth in their understanding of Number, Shape, Space and Measures. This emphasis on mathematics has the approach where we believe “The answer is only the beginning” and we expect parents and pupils alike to explain how they got to the answer and an alternative method of working it out.
In addition we genuinely believe pupils who are educated at our setting will be leaders in the future, with this in mind we expose children to several modern languages with our expert language tutors who will be coming in weekly and will teach the lessons entirely in another language and each week the children learn through fun exercises, role play, songs and rhymes.
At Tomorrow’s Leaders we believe readers are leaders, with that in mind we will be sending children home with a book every week alongside guidance on how to get the best from the book in order for your child to read for enjoyment, information gathering and become a lifelong learner.
Multi-sports with a purpose, we recognise the impact being active has on a child’s learning; we have therefore allocated 5 hours a week to exploring different sports. All sport is linked to the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum and is structured and facilitated by a Teacher who knows the children. In addition we have an external Football coach qualified to work with children under 5 coming to coach all pupils onsite on a weekly basis.
The monthly workshops will run in order to continue the learning at home. It is important parents come to the sessions that will be on a Saturday morning for 2 hours at 10:00am followed by a light lunch, these sessions are designed to give you as a parent the necessary tools to help your child explore in a way that will not confuse them (in particular reading and writing). It will be a time for the teachers to tell you about the learning, demonstrate using some of the materials we may be sending home and for parents to ask questions when unsure about the next steps.
Planned monthly workshops are as follows; Additional workshops will be added dependant on the needs of the pupils.
Tomorrow’s Leaders Day Nurseries offer quality day care, catering for children aged from 24 months to 5 years. We want the children to achieve in a enjoyable learning environment, whilst giving parents reassuring confidence that their child’s carers are devoted to quality childcare. Tomorrow’s Leaders staff ratios exceed the childcare national standards. The team at Tomorrow’s Leaders Day Nursery have been chosen with care and consideration. Children, staff, parents and visitors are fully insured whilst on the premises and on any outings organised by the Nursery staff. The Insurance and Registration certificates are on display in the entrance hall.
Applications will be dealt with on a first come first serve basis however siblings will take priority. A proportion of the places are allocated to full time children, part time places are available but limited. Children may attend nursery from 1 day to 5 days, we ask that these days are consecutive and are at one end of the week or the other. For example 3 days would be Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday or Wednesday Thursday and Friday.
We will do our utmost to make the settling in time go as smoothly as possible. Each child is an individual therefore a separate settling in plan is needed for each new child. Approximately two weeks before start date you will be asked to join us with your child, from this meeting a settling in plan will be agreed together.
We provide three meals a day: Breakfast served at 8:00 a.m.
Lunch served at12.00noon

We also provide a ‘snack time’ at 10am daily, which consists of a variety of fruit. Water or milk only is also served at this time. Our menu is well balanced and varied and has been planned with children with dietary needs in mind. We will cater for any special dietary needs your child may have which should be brought to our attention at enrolment. We have a system that allows you to gain a good understanding of exactly how much your child has eaten at nursery.
At Tomorrow’s Leaders we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage, which provides a learning and development framework for children from birth to 5 years.
The foundation stage has 7 areas of learning, there are:
-Personal, Social & Emotional
- Communication and Language
- Physical Development
- Understanding the world
- Expressive arts and design
Each child will have a folder with details of their development and achievements. All carers observe daily activities to help them understand each child’s development and learning styles. This folder can be viewed at any time.
Our team has been chosen with care in hope that we, create a friendly atmosphere, we ask parents to share this relaxed atmosphere with us and work together on all issues. Three times a year we will hold a parent’s evening, you will be able to discuss your child’s progress and also voice your opinion and tell us of any new ideas you may have.
All children potty train at different ages and in different ways. Environments other than home can have an effect on children. If a child is engrossed in an activity they may forget about the toilet/potty and may well wet them selves. Some children need a lot of confidence and reassurance. We ask parents to work together with us on this issue, so that your child has consistency in this routine.
We cater for children who still require a nap during the day, Nursery is sectioned off after lunch and sleep mats are laid out for tired children to sleep or relax. Each child will have a blanket and cushion; these are laundered at least weekly. Sleep will be discussed and we will adhere to your wishes regarding how long or if sleep is required at all.
We do not exclude children from Nursery who have special needs, however, prior to accepting a child with special needs we will meet with the parents and child to ensure that our facility and service meets with the child’s individual requirements. If once the child has started with us and special needs have then been identified, specialist help from the council’s Early Years Support Team will be sought. If the Early Years Team cannot support the child in this setting we have the right in the interest of all children in the setting to give one weeks notice. Several members of our team have Portage experience. We will be pleased to answer any questions you have in this respect.
Subject to written parent consent occasionally we may take children to the park or other simple trips. These outings are designed to give the children experience of different environments
Tomorrow’s Leaders settings employ staff solely according to their ability to care and educate. Children and staff are welcome to the nursery what ever their colour, race, creed, or religion. We aim to educate children about our multi-cultural and diverse society to promote inclusion
